Natalie Schreter, LCSW

Natalie Schreter is licensed clinical social worker and private psychotherapist with comprehensive experience working with individuals, couples and families, coping with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, chronic illness, loss, infertility, relationship challenges and life transitions.
Before co-founding Hudson Mental Health, Natalie joined the Bone Marrow and Stem Cell Transplantation Program at Mount Sinai Hospital, where she was part of the multidisciplinary team, providing psychotherapy, supportive counseling, and crisis intervention for patients and families struggling with hematologic malignancies while undergoing autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplantation. Her primary focus was on supporting patients facing chronic illness, end-of-life challenges, and bereavement.
Natalie serves as a board member for the Bone Marrow Foundation (bonemarrow.org), conducting monthly meetings and actively engaged in various events throughout New York City.
Natalie earned her postgraduate master’s degree from Adelphi University and completed a post graduate fellowship at Harlem Hospital’s Department of Pediatrics, which includes the general Pediatrics Unit, the Pediatric ICU, and the Pediatric Burn ICU. Natalie also worked as a research assistant, providing support for the publication of a research article on the impact of 9/11 on Muslim veterans (2012).
Natalie completed advanced clinical training in couples and family therapy at the Ackerman Institute for the Family, and is certified in cognitive behavioral therapy with an emphasis on anxiety disorders and cancer-related stressors. Additionally, Natalie is certified in Emotionally Focused Therapy EFT.
Natalie’s comprehensive education in a variety of modalities allows her to leverage her strengths with those of her patients and to tailor each individual’s treatment to fit his or her specific needs.
